The Malay Values Orientation, Background
The ancestors of the Malays came from mainland Southeast Asia and the Indonesian islands around 1500 B.C. after migrating from the southern parts of China. They settled along the coastal areas of the Malay Peninsular, pushing the sparse aborigine population of Jakun and Semang into the hills and jungles of the interior. Later, the region came under the political domination of groups ruling China, Thailand, India and the island empires of Indonesia. The first Malay kingdom was formed in 1403.

Chinese characters and their meanings
The Chinese characters provide a lot of insights into the meaning of many contemperory concepts. Each Chinese character has a component called the radical which provides a means of organizing the characters and a clue of the basic metaphor within each character.
The word for happy combines the figure for mouth with the figure for a band of musicians, suggesting a scene of public celebration.

The Tamil Hindu Value Orientation, Overseas Indians
It is estimated that the Indian diaspora which is dispersed throughout Northern Europe, North America, South America, East Asia, Africa and other places out of India, is about 20 million people. Many Indians from the Indian continent came to Malaya in the 1930's to supply labor for government projects under the British colonial administration. Currently there are about 2 million Tamil Indians who are mainly found in the western states of Peninsular Malaysia.

The Tamil Indians in Malaysia are noted for their strong work ethics and ability to think and adapt quickly in a new country. They believe that working hard is a form of worship and it is through their trade or skills that they will come closer to God. This belief has enabled then to carry out their work and responsibilities and job demands rather seriously.

The Tirukural, a treatise on how man should face life says:
Greatness humbly bends, but littleness always
Spreads out its plumes, and loads itself with praise.
Simply put, it means the great will always humble himself, but the ordinary will exalt himself in self- admiration.

vanakkam meenatchi,
ReplyDeleteI did a small research and come for some assumption.
There is a huge difference between dhravidan indian and aariyan north indian in respect of appearance(face/color), food, culture we can see. It shows their root is not from the same race at all.
You can see lots of people in north(MP,Bihar, UP,Maharashtra) who looks like tamils/telugus, but they speak their own language which could be the sub languages from tamil or mixture of tamil and other languages.
In india people lived lakhs of years ago. they are dhravaidans who are tamils basically becaz all other south indian languages came from tamil.
We have history for only 5000 years, tholkappiyam and sanga ilakkyangal are the oldest literatures available now. there might be more old ilakkyangal which we don’t have now.
Aryans came from europe to india through kaiber canals with their setup and culture. During that period Dravidians have saivam and had rich culture. Even tamils were in harapaa/mohanjathara civilization.
Aryans mixed with dhrvidans and slowly they try to mix with our language aspects too.
1) Even now inidians are more craze about Sanskrit / westernization, During those Vedic period some tamils might be in the same pace. Becaz for them that will be new and modern/fashion.
Even my wife wanted to name my daughters in sanscrit now, all because of modern and the name to show that we are hindus.
2) Immigrants are always more active and feel unsecured , that’s why they(aaryans) derived caste systems and want to live safely as Brahmins.
3) Tamil god Murugan married dheivayanai who is daughter of Indhra (Aryans vedhic god).
Aryans would have overwritten this. Like this there are lot of facts have been overwritten to show that Aryans are not the immigrants.
Even now north Indian don’t pray lord muruga which is interesting, they were not able to force their Vedhic gods to tamils. (Lord rama is also not much popular in tamil nadu)
There is no separate temples in south India for vedhic gods.
In Vedic period Aryans destroy the old history of tamil literatures (prior to tholkappiyam) and re written to make it as they wish for their selfish reasons. They might be in the power in whole India during that period. Since there were lot of sublanguage and mixture of foreign languages with tamil, all dhravidans were not united.
what do you say..
